The Black Horse of city

The Black Horse.

This is real stallion of a pub with a massive beer garden that even features a free table football. There is nothing to pay to play but original balls must have been liberated into the garden at some point as they have been replaced with lofty ping-pong balls. The cheaper alternatives are slightly too light and often go flying off pitch after particularly hard strikes, so definitely no handle spinners here. The garden features both open air and comfortable covered seating so it suits any weather Old Blighty can throw at it.

On arrival we stabled ourselves in the front room which had a romantic feel that even sported real flowers on each table which we thought were fake Trojans trying to wheel their way into our hearts at first. We were also pleased with the blissfully reality of the books that weren’t just part of the scenery or stage props, they are actual leather-bound books. It would be interesting to know how many of the books have even been read in the pub but that’s besides the point. Staying in the realm of reality we also made friends with a real greyhound in this animal friendly establishment but we couldn’t find the black mare anywhere.

We left as everyone seemed to be getting served their food which made us salivate. We’ve heard before this steed is known for its scrumptious servings so we shall return for some soon.
