Blue Joannannanananna

Blue Joanna.

Sat amongst the other shop fronts along Unthank Road you might think this is just a cafe at first. As you pass through the small tortoise gates and enter under the awning you will see the great Blue Joanna. The Blue Joanna is a piano named after Frank Sinatra’s famous piano which he sailed out to sea on, he was the first person to navigate the cape of good hope on a studio upright piano… Anyway there is a blue piano with Joanna written on it, that much is definitely true.

After getting our drinks from the small, short bar we ended up congregating around the big map found at the back, discussing travel and enjoying the relaxed ambiance.

Something that really stood out to us was the big beautiful bathroom which was like going to a spa retreat. The large open layout with plants and candles seems far to pleasant and peaceful to be passing waste in. Our turdy pictures don’t do it justice but it is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to spend a pretty penny.

This bar and kitchen maybe normally known for its great Asian street food, cocktails and live music but unfortunately did not experience any of this. You will have to take our crappy review based on this boggy visit, missing all their main affluence. Basically this review will be the equivalent of rating, currently state, AC/DC on their dance moves only.

Entertainment

No games but regular live music and you could even tickle Joanna’s ivories to make some of your own.

Drinks

Nothing exciting to drink beer wise but good you want a cocktail.

Rating

6 pints of out 10
