The Last Pub Standing.
This pub is situated down a quiet little side street in the centre and could be easily missed but should most definitely not be. Especially if, as the name suggests, all other pubs have fallen to ruin.
One of our favourite features and the most prominent in this bar is the hole in the floor. A see through glass floor selection reveals, what looks like, a pirates grave complete with skeleton and booty. This is actually a 150 year old cellar that was found and instead of being forgotten about it has been brought back to our time. Be careful of this though because it being placed just after step it can fool rather dimwitted individuals to momentarily think that they are dropping into the abyss as they step off the step. People don’t half stare when they see a grown man yep like a baby seal that’s just seen a club.
The outdoor patio is a great place to be in the sun or if you can get a place on the small roof terrace you can perform famous speeches to the peasants below as they watch you in oar. It’s a shame that the surrounding building can shroud this area from the sun a bit, making any chance of a standing ovation from giving an improvised boudicca’s last stand speech very thin.
