Gonzo’s Tea Room.
The small entrance of this bar looks like nothing special but enter inside and you will see the walls full of flea market treats that will make your nostalgia nodes explode. There so much to study and it’s hard not touch for some, which found out when I took my mum there and wanted me to remove things from the wall for further inspection. You may me wondering why I took my mum to one of the latest open bars in the city, peaking at 4am with all the dregs looking for one last drink. Well apart from being a little bit misled that this Gonzo guy was going to be serving a sophisticated high tea, it actually has great food on in the day. Know for its wings and “the best damn burgers in town” we were not disappointed with our lunchtime visit. Logan actually reckons ‘The Hab’ is the best burger he’s ever hab and he thought it habsolutely habulous.
If is it open, the roof top bar is perfect and well worth the several flights of stairs. Being high enough to not be encroached or shadowed by other buildings we had a full view of blue skies as we rocked in their hammocks. There is a long bar, independent from the downstairs, sat at end of the vibrant AstroTurf covered roof with postcard views of the fine city as a backdrop.
The bar plays and hosts some great music and it often takes pneumatic tools and well placed cheese bait to remove Tatiana from the dance floor. When Logan dance stamina is exhausted, normally about 2.25 songs, he can take a break playing Bomberman on Nintendo mini NES that’s at the bar.
The great staff that really seem to love their work are always helpful with drinks, especially cocktail selection.

The only thing keeping this pub from a perfect 10 is the non-existent exterior.
